In Which I Say Goodbye (And Sorry I Didn't), Hello, And Share Big Important News! / Wednesday, November 30, 2005

Hey! Boy it's been a long time since I've done this! I wonder if I can do it with any kind of regularity (if it's not a word it is now!) now I'm going to be a little more busy than I was before....

Anyhow, I'm sorry everyone in England for just disappearing like that, I had to go for the flight early Monday morning and much to my surprize, I had no problems getting it! Hurrah! That was overall not a fun day really. I was up at 5AM England time, on a flight at 9:30AM and landed in Houston 3ishPM Central time, waited for an hour to get my Green card sorted (and it is sorted. Yay!) then I had to go and rent a car to drive back to Baton Rouge. At that time I was bound to have hit rush hour somewhere along the way, and I did. It took me another six hours to get back. so I think if my math is right that works out as a 23 hour day, ending with six hours of driving. That was the real bad bit as you can imagine! But I did come back with a suitcase full of CD's so I was Bon Joviing (sl. singing very loud in car) it all the way back to keep me awake.

So anyhow, that's my excuse for not saying goodbye. So I'll say it now. Goodbye everyone! Take Care!

Ahem... Hello again....

Anyhow, it was absolutely fantastic to get over and see all you folks again. I wish I could have stayed for longer and seen everyone, but you know, babies due and all that...

Talking about babies due, We're going to the hospital at six in the morning on Friday to get Toby beamed out. I think that's the technical term for a C - Section, at least that's what Ash's OB/GYN calls it. So it's all very exciting!

I kind of wish that we didn't know when he was coming, it's very nerve wracking to be waiting on a specific day, at least we would just be waiting for any day, but now I know I need to get everything ready for Friday! Well I guess it's actually going to be Monday before Ash, Toby and I come back home, but I have to look after Ash while she's in hospital, and both of them when they get back from hospital. Sometime I wish I was three different people you know, one for Ash, one for Toby and one to go and earn some money (actually if there were three of me then I would need to work extra to feed the extra two mouths, so maybe I wish there were three and a half of me. Which half? Good question. I'll have to think about that one, and get back to you later.)

Right, well I'm a little rusty at this blog thing. Let me think for a minute. I haven't got much more to say. I do have a couple of links though. They're really going to be only of intrest to Americans though.

First there's this one:
http://www.paulenglish.com/ivr/
That takes you to a list of numbers that let you bypass all of the automated menus and go straight to a human operater. Kind of useful really!

And then there's this one:
http://www.jcbsong.co.uk/
Which is a really cool song, with a nifty little video to it. I say it's just for Americans because I think everyone in England has probably heard it already! By the way, a JCB is a type of back-hoe (like Kleenex is a type of tissue, hoover is a type of vacuum cleaner, etc...)

Spencer.... Out!
