In Which Everyone is Ill / Sunday, October 22, 2006

Ok, It's been a while, but I have an excuse! Everyone is ill. (That's what the title says by the way, not "Everyone is Three") Toby had a cold, then he had an ear infection, then the antibiotics killed off all the good bacteria in his tummy (like it's supposed to) so he had diarrhea, which dehydrated him, so then he was throwing up. The joys of parenthood!

Meanwhile, Joe had a sinus infection.

Also Ash had a sinus infection/cold, and now has maybe the flu.

Dianne still has a broken foot, and is working 12 hours a day pretty much 6 days a week, and I was working at Ash's work for a couple of weeks.

So, I have been busy trying to keep the house tidy, and look after Ash and Toby (Joe and Dianne can look after themselves - I'm sorry, but I have priorities!) and there's my excuse!

I know what you're thinking "Pete, you said everybody was sick. That would mean you must be sick too!" Well good deduction the Holmes, I thought I was going to get away being well, but that's kind of like dodging a bullet (Toby hasn't learnt how to cover his mouth while sneezing or coughing) so I have a cold right now, and hopefully Ash won't give me the flu.

In other news, I though I had a permanent job for a while, and was getting happy. I don't think I've got it though, it sounded like I had it in the bag pretty much, and I decided to put all my eggs in one basket and not continue looking for another job. So I made a mistake there. No matter how promising it sounds, don't believe it. I'm kind of peed off with this looking for work thing. I mean I'm a hard worker, and once I'm employed people know that, but I have to get that far. Usually I don't get past the application. I guess it's because I've had so many jobs over such a short period of time. There's good reasons for that, but I have to get as far as the interview before I can explain them, and even then they still may sound like excuses.

Anyhow, that's that. You're all caught up now. I'm on the wrong computer again, but I have someone else's song I'll put on here (and hope I don't get sued!) It's Cash Machine by Hard-Fi, acoustically done on The Interface on AOL.
