Alright dudes, sorry about the length of time between posts, but I've been kind of busy recently and to be quite honest if I do have any spare time then there are other more enjoyable things to do than write another darn post. I'm sure you guys can understand that, seems to me you think the same thing about writing emails, so we're on a level playing field here right? Alright that's kind of a cheap shot, sorry. Whatever, I haven't even thought about what I'm about to write, so this is just a ramble I guess.

Okay, so news. Ladies first: Ash is doing better, but still not great. She has days of actually likeing being with Toby, but sometimes she has bad days and they seem much worse in comparison to the good ones, so she feels real bad. Is that confusing? going from bad to worse is better than going from good to bad. It's a bigger drop. Also as I'm working now, and Ash doesn't want to burden Dianne with Toby (as if looking after your grandson for a few hours could be a burden!) she puts it all on herself, and that makes her anxiety rise. So a couple of times I've come home from work to a crying wife holding a baby out for me to take.

The little man is doing fine, he's been having a few indigestion problems, so he's got rice cereal added to his formula now, which means he's also constipated, which is very uncomfortable for him, so he's also taking some kind of syrup, and it seems to be working out a bit better. Babies don't usually have rice cereal until at least four months, but he is a big baby. At the last pediatritions visit he was 13lb 9oz and 24 1/2 inches long. Just in case that doesn't mean anything to you, he's wearing 6 to 9 month old clothes, and he's two months and three weeks old. He's smiling lots, and talking (not words that you or I understand but he's trying) and fidgiting lots, and being very cute. I'll post some pictures up here (on my blog for those of you that get an email) so you can see his big grin!

I have a job. It's not the blockbuster one, there benefits were rubbish, and the pay would have only just covered them. I can get much better benefits straight from the insurance company for an extra $100 a month, so that's what I'll do. I'm working with STOP - Service Team Of Professionals. They're a cleaning and restoration company, they're the ones who are sorting out the kitchen. It's alright, I can work on Dianne's days off so there is always someone here to help Ash with Toby. I've been working in New Orleans this week clearing out an office that got flooded during Katrina.

The best thing about the job is that there are several people there who like football. I mean real football not the rubbish kind, so hopefully I'll get the chance to have a kick around, and have some company for some of the World Cup games. They are playing all the games on ESPN and ABC over here which is great. I can't watch the six nations cup though. I have to rely on the BBC website. The video quality on their replays is rubbish, but at least I can get the scores. I've been watching the winter olympics a bit too. There seems to be ice hockey on all the time, which is fine by me!

So that's that. We're increadibly fiscally challenged at the moment, the needle on the petrol gauge is on empty all the time, and I go at least ten miles under the speed limit to save what little is left. Tomorrow is payday though, I should get about $50 I suppose. There's a court case about Ash's settlement tomorrow, to see how much the people that she claimed bankruptcy against want to take of it. So in a few days time we could be $30,000 richer, or we might get nothing. If we get enough after we've paid off credit cards and hospital bills we'll get a car that can do more than 18 mpg.

Oh yeah, I might quit this job. There's another job that pays twice as much and is much more flexible, removing rubbish from the badly hit areas of New Orleans. The con is that there will be quite a few bad things I could catch (from spores off of themould and stuff from the "Toxic Soup"), and I haven't any health insurance yet. I guess I'll just have to get a mask.

Well there you go. Oh in case any of you don't know my friend David Bennett, he's got a photo blog at http://www.phlog.net/user/omiyajunk he's in Japan and he's got a sense of humour, so it's kind of interesting.
